DCAT's Fundraising Philosophy
Contributing to DCAT is an
opportunity for individuals and organizations to join us in the crucial work
of reducing the negative impacts of global construction and development practices.
We see each and every donation as an expression of partnership and support
for our pioneering and successful efforts that lead the movement towards sustainable
building practices locally, nationally and globally.
DCAT's Fundraising Policy
DCAT's Funding Sources
DCAT is funded both locally
and nationally, drawing from a broad base of funding sources including foundation
grants, individual and corporate donations, consulting fees, speaker's fees,
honoraria, publication royalties, workshop and training fees.
How
Can I Help?
You can choose from a number of different ways to support DCAT's work.
What You Get for What You Give
DCAT is a non-profit 501(c
)3 organization and contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent
of the law. DCAT lists all donors who contribute over $100 in our Annual Report
unless otherwise requested. Donors who give $1,000 or more are listed in a
primary sponsorship section on the DCAT website. This section will include
a small narrative about, and hot links to the organization or individual donor's
website, if desired.
Most importantly, by donating to DCAT you become part of a big picture solution. Please see our 2001 Highlights on the other side of this page for more information on the successes we have been able to achieve with the help of your ongoing support.
